Topical Solutions
There are a number of products that can be applied to the surface of the skin which aim to reduce the production of sweat. As a first step, speaking to your GP or pharmacist should be able to help guide you on the most appropriate product for your circumstances.
Botox Injections
This treatment works by injecting a drug which blocks the production of sweat. It is extremely effective, working for up to 95% of people who try it. The effects take a couple of weeks to develop and typically last between 3 and 9 months, before a repeat treatment is required. We sometimes find an alternative brand called Disport more effective in treating hyperhidrosis and so that is often the product we use for this treatment.
